We partner with families, in all their diversity, to study how these relationships support and impact the care of children in pain.
Psychological Factors in Pediatric Pain
We study how psychological factors impact children in pain and how interventions can support treatment.

We identify effective methods to move evidence about children’s pain into practice and make knowledge accessible to those who need it.

Sex- and Gender-Based Analysis Plus
We apply Sex- and Gender-Based Analysis Plus (SGBA+) principles to examine how sex, gender and intersecting social factors influence children’s pain experiences and care.

Dr. Christine Chambers is in the top 2% of the most cited scientists in the world. She is also recognized in the top 15% of the most productive late-career women professors in clinical psychology programs accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association.
